Welcome

In 2006, I sat down to write the kind of novel I have always enjoyed reading. It would have an irresistible plot, interesting characters, great locations, engaging themes, memorable episodes and a style that openly luxuriated in the possibilities of language.

That first book was The Incendiary’s Trail. It has since been followed by The Vice Society (2010) and The Thieves’ Labyrinth (2011). I have recently finished the fourth book in the series.

I hope that you enjoy the information on this site and that the books bring you as much pleasure as I’ve had in writing them. I have always been a compulsive reader, and I approach my books with the aim of passing on that thrill.
